On a stormy night, a strange creature washes up on a small island in the North Sea. It is found by scientists Ella and Alex, the only inhabitants of the island. Ella does not trust it, also because they have had no contact with the outside world for over a year. The creature seems to possess inexplicable powers and blurs the line between reality and illusion.
